Soldiers from B Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, spent time in the High Range Training Area honing foundation marksmanship skills and conducting anti-armoured stalks during their High Explosive Week (HE Week) from 06 Jun – 09 Jun 2023. Training on in-service weapons being the 84mm Medium Direct Fire Support Weapon (Carl Gustaf) and Javelin.
HE Week allowed newly marched-in soldiers to familiarise themselves with weapon systems specifically utilised by the Royal Australian Armoured Corps, and receive mentoring from more experienced soldiers at the Regiment.
