Welcome to the V Maritime Security Course
Welcome to the 5th Maritime Security Course, hosted by the Atlantic Centre.

Discover the key moments from the opening day of the 5th Maritime Security Course, which brought together around 90 participants from 36 countries, as global experts explored how climate change is reshaping maritime security across the Atlantic.

The session took place on 2 June at the Carlos Machado Museum, chaired by the President of the Regional Government of the Azores, José Manuel Bolieiro, and the Coordinator of the Atlantic Centre, Rear Admiral Nuno de Noronha Bragança.

The course was supported by:
• Regional Government of the Azores
• Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD)
• United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)
• Enhanced MARitime Action in the Gulf of Guinea (EnMar)

This international collaboration underscores a shared commitment to regional resilience, sustainable governance, and maritime security in the Atlantic.
