“Bloomchild” is a coming of age sci-fi film concept that emerged from my own experiences growing up as a first-generation child in the suburbs of Connecticut. There weren’t many other kids that looked or behaved like me. I often felt isolated and misunderstood, not fitting neatly into any group.
My journey of self-acceptance was marked by the struggle to find belonging, while also grappling with the unique aspects of my identity – being an artsy nerd, a tomboy, and an introvert. It wasn’t until high school and college, through photography and growing self-confidence, that I began to embrace my differences as creative superpowers.
“Bloomchild” is a celebration of self-acceptance and the beauty of diversity, reflecting the transformative power of embracing one’s uniqueness. My hope is to make “Bloomchild” a reality with creative partners and studios who resonate with the story’s message and want to support its creation.
