ATLAS is a platform independent (fixed and rotary wings) digital map system designed and developed by ASELSAN. It makes pilots’ missions safe in harsh weather conditions and increases their situational awareness during flight with over 100 capabilities. ATLAS has a terrain and obstacle awareness subsystem that works in an integrated manner. The software development process of the system, developed in full compliance with aviation standards such as DO-257A and DO-309, is carried out in accordance with DO-178.Many needs of the pilots, such as the preparation of data to be used during the flight, pre-mission rehearsal, post-mission analysis, flight plan creation, and the planning of search and rescue activities are fulfilled by the Mission Planning Software, which is compatible with the DO-200A standard.
