The US president, Joe Biden, conceded that US-led airstrikes against Yemen’s Houthi group were not working but vowed to continue regardless. The US launched its fifth round of strikes against the Houthis on Thursday, as the Yemeni militants continued attacking ships passing through the Red Sea.
Biden was asked if he was concerned about losing the Arab-American vote in the upcoming elections. The president responded: ‘Well, look, the president wants to put — the former president wants to put a ban on Arabs coming in the country. We’ll make sure that we understand who cares about the Arab population.’
