Chancellor attempting to undo ‘damage of her own decisions’



Sky News’s Wilfred Frost interviews shadow business and trade secretary Andrew Griffith about the ongoing issues at Heathrow, the chancellor’s upcoming spring statement, and the war in Ukraine.

On expectations for Rachel Reeves’s spring statement, Mr Griffith is asked whether he would back cuts to public spending and he responds: “That is something we support, we need this country to grow, we are not growing.”

He adds: “We are in a recession on a per capita basis due to the choices the chancellor made in her last budget, this upcoming one is an emergency one to repair some of the damage from that.”
