Staff Cadets from Third Class at Royal Military College – Duntroon participated in their bayonet assault course at Majura Training Area in Canberra. The course covers all aspects of bayonet fighting, from fitting the bayonet to a weapon, through to employing the bayonet in battle.
Bayonet assault training is also designed to teach Staff Cadets the use of controlled aggression when operating in the battlefield environment. RMC-D Third Class is the six-month-long, first phase of officer training in the Australian Army.
