The engineering teams from Airbus, DLR, Geradts and SFL have recently completed initial tests, allowing them to verify loads in the UAV launch system when releasing the DT-25 UAV. This helped identifying the parameters and settings crucial to the next steps.
These initial tests, as shown in this film, were performed with mass equivalent “dummies”, which do not need to resemble the shape of a DT-25, but are sufficient to accurately represent the system’s behavior.
