Israels military on Friday said its forces, backed by fighter jets and drones, carried out another ground raid into the Gaza Strip. The action was targeted at suspected Hamas positions on the outskirts of Gaza City, the military said. The military said that action was carried out in order to “prepare the battlefield” ahead of a widely expected ground invasion. (OCT 27)
