Israels military chief said early on Wednesday that ‘misidentification’ led to strikes that killed seven international aid workers in Gaza. “It was a mistake that followed a misidentification – at night during a war in very complex conditions. It shouldn’t have happened,” Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said as he announced the results of a preliminary investigation into Mondays incident.
