The last man standing — This guy survived for three months under constant artillery barrages, guarding apartments of an entire residential building.
His name is Maxim. He’s a resident of Northern Saltivka, the northernmost suburb of Kharkiv. Before the war, Northern Saltivka housed more than 300,000 residents. Being the closest suburb to the Russian border, it has received the bulk of the enemy onslaught. The Russians began shelling Saltivka from the first day of war and haven’t stopped — 70% of its residential buildings are either damaged or ruined. Most of the residents have nowhere to return to.
