Struggling Britain: Cost of living pushes families to brink



The £20 uplift to Universal Credit has now been cut, meaning from next week, families reliant on the benefit will no longer see payments with the extra sum.

The end of the uplift comes after grave warnings from charities, that thousands of families will be plunged into poverty by the decision.

Sky’s People and Politics Correspondent Nick Martin has been speaking to a single mother reliant on the uplift, who says the Government simply doesn’t understand the pressures posed by the cut.
