Demolished villages, frightened residents and devastated farms — this is what the world saw after the ‘Russian peace’ was forced to withdraw from Lyman and the surrounding villages. The city itself did not suffer much from the shelling compared to the nearby villages, which the Russians nearly flattened to the ground.
Liberation of Lyman is key — it opens the way for the assault on Svatove and further de-occupation of the Luhansk region.
