Twelve hostages released and 30 Palestinians freed in latest ceasefire exchange

The Israel defense forces has confirmed the latest released hostages are in Israel, including 10 Israelis and two Thai nationals. The hostages travelled from Gaza into Egypt before being transferred to helicopters and taken to Israeli hospitals for medical check-ups. The Israeli prison service confirmed it released 30 Palestinian prisoners, all women and children, in the fifth swap under an extended truce deal. They were released from Ofer prison, near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, and from a detention centre in Jerusalem.
