U.S. Space Force Induction into the Joint Chiefs of Staff



On Dec. 20, 2020, the Chief of Space Operations Gen. John “Jay” Raymond became an official member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. A brief induction ceremony was held Dec. 11, 2020, hosted by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark A. Milley, to mark this historic milestone for the United States Space Force.

The space domain has and will continue to be key to our warfighting success at home and abroad.

To all United States Space Force Guardians who just celebrated the United States Space Force’s 1-year anniversary: Your unique mission and capabilities are incredibly important to our Joint Force team. Thank you for what you do to defend our nation and support our partners from the ultimate high ground of space.
