We saw phosphorous burns: British-Palestinian surgeon recounts injuries he saw in Gaza

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, British-Palestinian surgeon Ghassan Abu-Sittah told reporters that staff at Al Shifa hospital saw patients with phosphorous burns admitted to the medical facility.

The surgeon added that the primary target of Israels bombardment was residential homes, and that his hospital was receiving patients from the same families across generations during air raids.

The Israel Defence Forces previously denied using white phosphorus in Gaza, after Human Rights Watch reported the IDF had used it in its military operations there.
