Why is everyone rushing back to the moon?


When Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon in 1969, they found a barren rock. But today we know the moon is much more. It’s a source of rare earth metals, which are essential to the semiconductor industry, and helium-3, a promising nuclear fuel. Experts say the moon has hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of resources. It’s also a steppingstone for future space exploration, including missions to Mars and beyond.
