Gripen is designed for ”hot refueling”. It´s a process in which the pilot can keep the engine running during the refueling. It saves time and allows a quick re-launch for the next sortie. Here, a Gripen from Czech Air Force conducting the process during NATO Baltic Air Policing mission.
