He said: “Theres cost to war, and were not, fortunately, on the frontline.
“Were not the country being invaded and seeing our kids being killed in the streets and what have you.
But we do stand four square behind Ukraine, and we cant have a situation where we are effectively through gas and oil, providing the blood money to fund Putins war machine.”
He added that the government had provided “more cash, more humanitarian aid, £400 million than any other country in the world.”
