Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Tuesday (January 23) that Israel would not stop fighting in Gaza until “absolute victory” after it sustained its highest single-day death toll in the Palestinian enclave. Twenty-four Israeli soldiers were killed, the military said, as its forces encircled southern Gazas main city, trapping Palestinian residents trying to flee.
