“There is a danger in all of this that this thing will expand. And NATO needs to be very careful in the way that it responds.”

Retired British Army officer Major General Timothy Cross says he worries about an expansion of the Ukraine war to NATO countries.

He added: “Theres a danger that if he really does suffer badly in Ukraine, that he will come out fighting somewhere else.”
