Patria is a market leader of modern armoured wheeled vehicles, but where did it all begin?
In 1965, the first Proto-Sisus were handed over to the Finnish Defence Forces. By the 1970s, Patria moved on to manufacturing military vehicles. The Sisu A-45 medium-heavy off-road truck with a two-axle four-wheel drive and a payload of 4,000 kg was born.
The serial production of armoured wheeled vehicles started in 1984, when the Panssari-Sisu (Armoured Sisu), or Pasi XA-180, entered production. The Pasi made Finnish expertise known around the world.
In 2025, Patria 6×6 and Patria AMV XP are designed to meet the evolving requirements of modern warfare. Patria 6×6 is the platform of joint CAVS programme, joined by 🇫🇮🇱🇻🇸🇪🇩🇪🇩🇰. Patria has already received orders for over 850 Patria 6×6 vehicles and has delivered more than 200 vehicles.
