Exercise Rogue Ambush 21-1 is the final phase and graduation exercise of No 2 Operational Conversion Unit and No 2 Squadron operational conversion courses. It has produced the first combat-ready F-35A Lightning II pilots and co-pilots now fully capable of delivering airpower for the joint force.
Operating out of RAAF Bases Darwin and Tindal from 15 June to 2 July 2021, Exercise Rogue Ambush provided a realistic warfighting training environment including a wide range of tactical flying activities across the Northern Territory, utilising the Tindal restricted airspace and Delamere Air Weapons Range.
