NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg committed to protecting “every inch” of the military alliances territory should Russia invade a member nation. “An attack on one ally will trigger the response from the whole alliance,” Stoltenberg said Thursday after Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered an invasion of Ukraine, carrying out airstrikes and shelling on cities and bases.
