“If Mr. Trump came back to the White House as president…hes on record as saying he wants to reduce at least the the aid [to Ukraine] and most Republicans agree with him. And so thats why actually Putin is fighting partially to that clock.”

Tim Marshall says if the US pulls its funding from Ukraine, the “cracks in the European facade” would widen and Ukraine risks losing the war.
