Speaking from Lviv, her native city, she said: “We have real heroes, and these are our army, our territorial defence, our volunteer soldiers, our volunteers who are helping army, and actually every representative of Ukrainian nation is a hero today.
“That is the unity of people. And Im joking, sadly joking, that Putin united all Ukraine, because Ukraine had never been so united since the independence was proclaimed.
“All the people, regardless of region, regardless of language, regardless of their political views, are united against Putin in favour of Ukraine.”
She added that it was very easy to stop war: “make Moscow federation back off, and take its army away.”
She said: “Ukraine have never invaded any territory. Ukraine was not attacking Moscow territory. They came to our land to kill our people and we have a right to defend ourselves.”
