U.N. Estimates 5 Million People To Be Displaced If Russia Invades Ukraine

In a speech to the United Nations General Assembly, U.S. Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield said that as many as five million people could be displaced as a direct result of Russia invading Ukraine. “Ordinary Russians should be asking how many Russian lives Putin is willing to sacrifice to feed his ambitions,” Thomas-Greenfield said on Wednesday.
