UK defence secretary calls on Iran to restrain Houthis after missile and drone attack

The UK defence secretary has called on Iran to restrain the Houthis after the armed group carried out a rocket, drones and cruise missiles attack apparently on western warships in the Red Sea. Shapps said: So we call on Tehran, but also directly on the Houthis, this absolutely must stop. There will be consequences if it doesnt.

Issuing a warning to the Houthis and Iran, Shapps added: we cannot have a situation where a major sea route, a major ability to move goods around the world is being cut off by terrorists and thugs. And we therefore must act.
