‘We don’t need this war’ British public react to Ukraine-Russia crisis as Boris announces sanctions

We asked the British public their opinions on the current crisis after the prime minister announced the first tranche of Russia sanctions.

Boris Johnson outlined a new wave of sanctions against Moscow today as Germany blocked the approval of the key Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia.

In a statement to the Commons the prime minister said that the UK would extend British sanctions to a further five Russian banks and three “high net wealth’’ individuals.
