White House Comments On Palestinian-American Doctor Leaving Biden Meeting

The White House responded to reports of a Palestinian-American doctor walking out of a meeting between President Joe Biden and Muslim community leaders in protest of the conflict in Gaza. Dr. Thaer Ahmad said he gave the president a letter from an orphaned 8-year-old girl in Gaza urging Biden to prevent an Israeli invasion of Rafah. “The president respects … any Americans right to peacefully protest.”
