One of the early, ‘long-lost’ documentaries about the humble beginnings of the *3rd Separate Assault Brigade.* For some reason, no one ever bothered to translate it — so here it is.
In the fall of 2022, after the Battle of Kyiv, a self-formed Territorial Defense unit then called the Special Operations Forces “Azov-Kyiv” was sent south to help liberate the city of Kherson, which had been under Russian occupation for 254 days. Other AFU units were to punch a hole in Russian defenses and have the SOF “Azov” charge in like light cavalry to wreak havoc in the enemy’s rear.
And charge in they did… only the enemy was nowhere to be found — the Russians hastily retreated across the Dnipro river.
Right after these events, “Azov-Kyiv” was merged with similar units from Dnipro, Sumy, and Kharkiv and went to fight in Bakhmut. By January 2023, these combined units where reorganized into the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3rd_Assault_Brigade
