*DUK* — Volunteer Ukrainian Corps — Initially, the paramilitary arm of the Ukrainian nationalist party Right Sector — a byproduct of EuroMaidan. A completely voluntary formation of citizens, Volunteer Ukrainian Corps were some of the first to take up arms and oppose the Russian intervention in Donbas in July 2014.
With the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in 2022, DUK was formally absorbed in the Armed forces of Ukraine as the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade “DUK”, and were trained in the United Kingdom.
