Speaking to Stig Abell and Chloe Tilley, Robert Watts said that the government had indicated that theyre going after 100 individuals and entities.
He said: “Theres £1.5 billion worth of UK property owned by people close to Putin.
“Michael Gove, the cabinet minister, was saying over the weekend, that the government should be seizing these properties.
“Legally, thats extremely challenging.
“People whove taken on, organisations that have taken on these people in the past, the national criminal agency, the serious fraud office, they talk about it being a sort of David and Goliath situation, these people have huge, huge resources to spend on lawyers.”
